How to find up‑to‑date information

Because services can change, the most accurate information will come directly from the food program or from local directories.

  • Call ahead or visit the website or social media page of the food bank or program you plan to visit.

  • Use online tools such as 211 Ontario North or Feed Ontario’s “Find a Food Bank” page to search by postal code or community.

  • If you are working with a community agency, counsellor, or social worker, they can also help you connect with food supports that fit your situation.

If you are struggling with food insecurity

Needing help with food is more common than many people realize, and it often connects to stress, mental health, and other life challenges. It is okay to reach out for support.

Food banks are meant to be a temporary support, and connecting with them can also be a first step toward other community resources. If you are a client of Timmins Family Counselling Centre and want to talk about food stress, budgeting, or related mental health concerns, you can bring this up with your counsellor so they can help you explore options and supports.
